Heartbleed OpenSSL Bug Investigation

ESW was made aware of the Heartbleed OpenSSL Bug on Wednesday, April 9, and we have been investigating the effects of this exploit over the last 2 days. At the current time, ESW-maintained services do not appear to be effected. Microsoft, SonicWALL and Apple have indicated that their products are not compromised and that no issues have been reported since the discovery of the Heartbleed bug.

However, all individuals should still make sure to secure their personal services, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook, etc. A complete list of the services which are effected can be found here: http://mashable.com/2014/04/09/heartbleed-bug-websites-affected/.

If anyone has any further questions regarding this issue, please contact an ESW technician, or the ESW Service Desk at 1.877.880.8802.
